Privacy
Your privacy.
This policy explains how personal information is handled under the Privacy Act 2020 and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner's guidance.
Who this policy covers
This policy covers GOLD STAR INSURANCE SERVICES LIMITED and the way James Li handles personal information in the course of providing, or preparing to provide, financial advice on behalf of Wealthpoint Limited.
What is collected
This website has no contact form, no accounts, and no online payment. Personal information reaches us only when you choose to send it, usually by email or phone. That typically means your name, your contact details, and whatever you tell us about your situation or enquiry.
Why it is collected
Information is collected to respond to your enquiry, to prepare and provide advice if you choose to engage James, to meet legal and regulatory obligations that apply to financial advice, and to keep records of the advice relationship.
How it is used and shared
Information is used only for the purpose it was collected for, or a directly related purpose you would reasonably expect. Because advice is provided on Wealthpoint's behalf, relevant information may be handled within Wealthpoint's systems and processes. Information may also be shared where the law requires it, or where you ask us to, for example when instructing us to arrange cover with an insurer.
Storage and security
Reasonable steps are taken to keep personal information safe from loss, unauthorised access, or misuse. Information is kept only as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as the law requires.
Analytics on this website
This website runs with no analytics or tracking. The site supports an optional Google Analytics 4 configuration that is inactive unless a measurement ID is supplied at build time. If analytics are ever enabled, this policy will be updated first to describe what is collected and how to opt out.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information held about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. To make a request, email james.li@certusnz.co.nz. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner via privacy.org.nz.
